Weatherstem Bright
Smart lighting that connects directly to your Weatherstem station and changes color the moment conditions require attention. No speakers, no PA, no staff required. Just a light that tells the whole room what the sky is doing.
Sirens are designed for open outdoor environments. But weather still matters inside a library, a shooting range, a hospital, a resort, or a greenhouse. Bright fills that gap with a visual warning that works at any volume level and in any setting.
Color change communicates the message without interrupting events, disturbing patients, or startling customers.
Bright triggers from actual real-time readings at your location. Trigger from NWS, Cloud or your station's data.
If Philips Hue can go there, Bright can too. Overhead fixtures, accent lighting, exterior facades, signage backlit areas.
Where Bright works
Anywhere people are indoors, focused on an activity, or in an environment where noise is problematic. Bright gives weather a voice without making a sound.
Customers spend long periods in outdoor areas, often not watching their phones. Bright makes weather awareness ambient and automatic. Already deployed at Tallahassee Nurseries.
Ear protection, active shooting, and safety-critical focus make audible alerts impractical and potentially dangerous. Bright conveys weather status visually without distraction or disruption.
Warehouse and production floor environments are too loud for sirens to cut through reliably. Bright uses ambient lighting that everyone in the building can see at the same time.
Pool decks, outdoor dining, and resort grounds require weather monitoring, but sirens damage the guest experience. Bright communicates conditions through accent and ambient lighting guests already see.
Classrooms, reading rooms, and testing environments cannot tolerate sudden loud alerts. Bright allows staff and students to see changing conditions without interrupting the environment.
Hospital corridors, waiting areas, and care settings require calm. Bright allows weather awareness and preparedness without creating alarm or disrupting patient care environments.
The color language
Each color maps to a specific weather condition or alert type. Customize triggers for your location and NWS alert thresholds. Staff and visitors learn the color language in minutes.
Trigger conditions and colors are fully customizable for your organization. Colors shown above are defaults. NWS alert integration included.
How it works
Bright works with a Weatherstem station on-site or cloud-based Weatherstem data from your area. Either way, atmospheric conditions are monitored continuously. Lightning detection runs continuously on dual feeds.
The moment a condition exceeds your configured threshold, the Weatherstem platform sends a command to your Philips Hue system. No manual intervention, no delay.
Every connected Hue fixture in range changes simultaneously. One look at the room tells everyone what is happening outside. No announcement needed.
When the threat passes and your protocol is satisfied, Bright returns to its normal state automatically. No staff involvement required at any point.
